Gauge Faces - ColinGreene - 01-16-2013 02:14 PM

Anyone have any interest in gauge faces for their mini.
I got a set of helix ones and they are shit quality.
The thought was maybe to get some GP ones made for a reasonable price or any other type that someone may have been looking for without the shit quality.

I have my nice red ones and they are good quality. I am sure if you can get someone to make a good high quality set you will have a market for them from NAM and M/A members.

well you might have gotten lucky, the ones i got are sort of dissapointing.
Cant knock the price but still.
its frustrating having light shining though it and being able to see the LED lights behind it.
you don't have any of those problems do you
Also, if anyone wants me to move the redline over on the tach i can do that as well.

Essentialmini.co.uk do these. They will even change the colour of the LEDS for you in the gauges. Unfortunately, they don't make them for australian spec cars. Our spec cars here have the speedo where your tacho is and our tacho where your speedo is.

I can't see my LED's but I can see where they are if I turn my dash lights up as bright as my HID's. lol

I like less dash light when driving at night. I don't want disco display on my dash.

these are like clear, its really disappointing.
Essential mini will do it but the cost of shipping stuff back and forth across across the ocean, its much easier to kill me
then it is them.
hopefully that will make it a better option if what i'm looking into comes to the table.
I'm getting/making a set for myself. i just don't know if its worth it to look into doing it for anyone else.

vinyl styles... i have CF vinyl overlay with yellow accents....never shines through and have had them for over 5 years now with no issues at all...no need to get crazy with them just pop the needles off and lay the face over...he had them cut to match the faces so they pop right on

All you need is Black 3M electrical tape and a exacto knife.

Take the gauge out and put a piece of tape on the back. BINGO light gone.Big Grin or no Idea
