LUL lol RE: TVS Final Prototypes - 1qwkmini - 01-13-2014 05:31 AM I just want a more efficient IC without the added complication of a W2A (more shit to go wrong) and FMIC weights less. RE: TVS Final Prototypes - ColinGreene - 01-13-2014 09:30 AM I think you would be best served with meth and a too mount. Trying to put a front mount on it with this blower is more trouble than its worth in my book. Just go rotrex man! RE: TVS Final Prototypes - Jan - 01-13-2014 10:03 AM problem is: Some race series won't allow meth RE: TVS Final Prototypes - CFMINI - 01-13-2014 10:21 AM Quote:problem is: Some race series won't allow meth Like the USFRA at Bonneville. But with the Vipec, Jan re-tuned my car to run on 109 octane leaded fuel and I took off the meth system. Only was about 10whp down from running on 100% meth. Craig RE: TVS Final Prototypes - ColinGreene - 01-13-2014 12:50 PM True. Race fuel is always an option. If your racing or building a race car I'd say always check the rule book very carefully before you even spend money. RE: TVS Final Prototypes - CFMINI - 01-13-2014 12:56 PM Yes. And yet another reason why the Vipec is needed. You can have 91 octane tunes and 109 octane tunes and easily switch between them to match your current conditions. Can't do that with a MINI ECU. And when the Vipec gets an ODB-II port working, then the state of California - and others - will be happy too at smog check time. Craig RE: TVS Final Prototypes - 2nd Childhood - 01-25-2014 07:04 PM Since it has been awhile since the last post to this thread, I find my curiosity getting anxious and wanting to know the latest status on the TVS900. The last I heard there were concerns about the bearing. Any progress? RE: TVS Final Prototypes - dansskk - 01-26-2014 03:58 PM The bearing was on the belt tensioner pulley..... no big deal. Things stalled a bit while Jan was back home with his family. Right now the car is having the tensioner repaired and having an OS Gikon clutch installed. It had a stock clutch with almost 70K on it and we feared it wouldn't hold up on a hard track day. While it's being worked on Jan wants to have the custom parts ( intake, mount, and discharge plate & horn) taken off and 3-D scanned so production parts can be made. The car will be running in the MINI Thunder event Feb. 15th at Thunder Hill. That's a great track day for MINIs....... last year 128 MINIs participated. Come on out if you can....
