RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - BostonR56S - 08-17-2011 09:36 PM Thanks for tHe update Jeff. Do you have an eta? And what order does the shipping go? RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Howerton Engineering - 08-17-2011 09:42 PM If I can get the units in at any time next week I'll build as fast as possible and through the weekend if necessary to try to get a big slug out. Typically the shipping order will be in the order of sign up, but if we call your number and you need more time to pay, we'll move on to the next. We have everything but the metal, so I think we can build all quite quickly. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Buli - 08-18-2011 08:12 AM Jeff, how are the R56 install instructions going? I need some good reading as I wait. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Howerton Engineering - 08-18-2011 08:24 AM With the pictures we took during the install Tuesday I'll be working on them over the next couple days and weekend. Possibly first of the week we can send some out to folks. Would it be useless to switch from an air/air GRS intercooler to a GRS Water/air intercooler ? RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - silhouette88 - 08-20-2011 04:25 PM My opinion is that if you have the money to spend on it, go for it. Lower inlet temps when you're not spraying w/m can only be good. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - LMFiorillo - 08-20-2011 05:22 PM Wouldn't you end up having too many pumps on the car ? RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - ColinGreene - 08-20-2011 09:48 PM I think its useless but thats me. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Howerton Engineering - 08-20-2011 10:02 PM In looking at how the systems work, I don't think it is worth it. Say you have W2A, and are stuck in traffic, the unit will still heat soak and take a long time to recover. The meth will still cool the charge and make power. In the big picture, over a driving cycle, a W2A gives a more consistent temp to the engine, but it will never cool as well as a A2A, and when heat soaked will take longer to recover. On a track, again, it gives more consistent temps over the entire lap. In my opinion, it's extra weight and more complexity to add to the car for at times, a marginal benefit. |
