Because there is not a replacement. RE: R53 Jcw head - Jan - 10-21-2013 07:42 PM going to need to put a different cooler on it. The IC that he has now will be a major bottle neck NOR will it fit as the piping is bigger on the C38 R53 Jcw head - eurowned - 10-21-2013 08:34 PM Boost pressure is the measure of flow resistance. You can totally get away with bigger ports and valves when using a form of forced induction then what you would have to run naturally aspirated. The bigger and better you can get the ports to flow the lower your resistance is which equals far better efficiency at making power. I would stick with the RMW head and not mess with the JCW head in trying to best what is already the best. RE: R53 Jcw head - ColinGreene - 10-22-2013 11:22 AM Andrea, I dont know why you would try to put a JCW head on your car. Every single one of us have told you that its a bad idea but you dont seem interested. I just was pointing out you seem to have your mind made up and it would be rude of us to talk you out of it. The only way you will really learn that what we are trying to tell you is helpful is to find out for your self. After you saw what happened to Lees car, Constant failure be cause he refused to listen. none of us want that for you. The point was, get the RMW head Jan had re done for you that was sitting there for a few months and put it together right. you also know that the C38 outlet is so much bigger than the C30-94 outlet your intercooler will be such a bottleneck it will blow it right though the hood... RE: R53 Jcw head - Penis - 10-22-2013 12:28 PM I may not listen to people... Especially when I have my mind set on doing something crazy! Like all my body work and paint I am doing right now. Thing is, after I tried doing my engine a different way, now I know better than to not listen. You have been given the best advise anybody and everybody could offer, and it should serve as a warning not to do it. Just saying, if you do this your way there is a 99% chance its gonna bite you in the ass, right through your wallet! From my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: R53 Jcw head - ColinGreene - 10-22-2013 12:31 PM nothing wrong with your body work. looks like you have a solid hold on the techniques you use to get what you want. I think it will be cool to see you do the work. RE: R53 Jcw head - Penis - 10-22-2013 02:09 PM There is a big difference between body work, and a engine build... The body work, you can cheat a little, and make things how you want it regardless of what others think... On an engine build where you are talking triple the power output over what it was stock, you cant cheat! One part that doesn't match up, and the whole thing becomes scrap rather quickly. From my iPhone using Tapatalk R53 Jcw head - Andrea - 10-29-2013 02:27 AM Colin ... I can assure you .. And YOU KNOW... That I know a lot about this project /engine. If you want I can explain all my opinions. The car Will run a new intercooler.. I studied aerodynamics...and I know very well what can be a bottle neck. Unfortunately I had a personal problem and I can't spend too much money now.. and I'll need the car running for november..Jan can't help me for some good reasons, but fortunately another big valve head builder Will send me a head with some nice spec. that's all.
