RE: C38...........is it possible? - eurowned - 01-21-2014 01:55 AM Built engine failures are from poor engine building practices or lack there of. When you build high performance/race engines you worry about .0001 of an inch in some critical areas and others .001 of an inch. You always keep in mind, always miss it low then high because you can adjust according. Jonnydrama - Rotrex is miles away from the cause of the engine failures. Rotrex have their own failures from totally different independent causes; hard rev limiters, over spinning+rev limiter, spinning in the wrong direction, improperly lubricated, improperly bled (air in the self contained oiling system). Furthermore there is nothing that is unbreakable when it comes to high performance aftermarket parts. RE: C38...........is it possible? - eurowned - 01-21-2014 05:11 AM I hear all this all the time but when its engine tear down time the truth is unlocked with every bolt undone. RE: C38...........is it possible? - Dave.0 - 01-21-2014 09:18 AM Yup ^^^^ RE: C38...........is it possible? - ColinGreene - 01-21-2014 10:07 AM RE: C38...........is it possible? - CFMINI - 01-21-2014 10:23 AM All true. But he is getting 535whp + out of a 1800?? cc (~ 108 ci) engine. 4.95 whp per ci. Everything has to be right to sustain that for more than a few 1/4 mile, or a few dyno passes, not to mention Time Attack sessions. Jan, didn't the old MINI drag car make about 650whp with that big turbo and a stock head? What kind of fuel was used? Craig RE: C38...........is it possible? - Jan - 01-21-2014 11:00 AM The drag car never made it to the track with 650 whp it was on c 16th always blew up |
