What are people using besides the accessport and the torque app to data log? I have a scangauge so buying a BT dongle for the torque app would be redundant for me. I know theres a logger out there for like $100 that plugs into the OBDII, but no idea what it is.

I don't know of a logger that cheap...

Other than Torque, there is also Rev for the iPhone...but I think you need to buy a obd thingy that is around $100.

There's Bavarian Technik and Auto Enginuity...they are both more of a diagnostic tool though, not sure on their datalogging capabilities. They are both around $280 I think. Jeff would be the best one to answer here, as he is the king of data monitoring Big Grin

More importantly though....did you finish the install yet?!?

Depends if you want a stand alone, or want to use a laptop or phone.

etalj recommended the DashDyno, I'm saving up my pennies for that one and am looking forward to chucking the torque / Kiwi method I'm currently using.

I had one of these and wish I had never sold it. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but as a logger works really well. You put a SD card in the side and it will record for days. Everything worked well except for the real time dyno feature, every time I hit second and spun the tires then gripped, it would cut off the run for thinking I had lifted.

It's got analog inputs, connected every time perfectly when the car was started. I'm sure there are other good ones, but I really liked this one.

Install just started tonight. Got the wires round the loom, tank is test fitted into location. Need to file the slot a bit. Today was mainly prep for tomorrow and get everything out of my trunk. Tomorrow after work will be the real install. I expect to get everything wired. Will just need to tap the hole after that. I'm pretty good with wiring and such, and have worked on most of the car at this point. We will have to see if I can fit any more wires through the grommet :-p

Btw Jeff are there cheaper options to the logging if I use my netbook?(since u asked standalone vs laptop)

Sad day. Sad

Looks like it's going to be $500 for parts and labor to replace the faulty electronic steering wheel lock mechanism.

On the bright side, it had nothing to do with the HFS-3 kit or my install...

Wow, just horrible timing. Really sorry to hear that man. Hope you get your car back real soon.

That $500 was going to be for a Jan tune. Now that will have to wait a little longer.

Go figure. Big Grin

Sorry to hear man!
