RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - HRM - 10-02-2011 02:46 AM The previous owner of my car put gauges in and didn't tap into a dimmer. It is like lasers are pointed at my eyes while I drive, but with my bad back working under a dash is worse than digging a ditch, so I just live with it. They do sell stand alone dimmers for the gauges which is what I was going to use. Maybe they would work for this application too. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=gauge+dimmer+switch&hl=en&prmd=imvnsfd&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1304&bih=1003&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=9813910181022206783&sa=X&ei=YSSITsvVB8fY0QGv9s35Dw&ved=0CFwQ8wIwAA RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Buli - 10-02-2011 01:20 PM Where to connect the purple gauge dimming wire on a R56. Tap into the right headlight power wire where it passes through the battery compartment. Cut the electrical tape and find the larger of the two white/blue wires. NOTE: This would not work of you use Daylight Running Lamps as it would be dim all the time. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - BostonR56S - 10-03-2011 12:13 PM lol. i see it. And Buli, you got up to the disconnect of the tube from the bottom without moving any of the jcw aero bumper? I feel like those panels are in the way to access up, but i could and probably am wrong. I haven't looked under there in a week so i dont remember exactly anymore. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Buli - 10-03-2011 08:16 PM (10-03-2011 12:13 PM)BostonR56S Wrote: lol. i see it. No bumper removal, only the splash guard. Three screws, then hose clamp on FMIC. Real OEM item 3 RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - RennSport Racing - 10-04-2011 12:04 AM My wheel speed sensor is throwing a fault now (even though the actual sensors are fine). I think it's the ecu tapping I did. I think it's the ecu tapping I did. If you wired the "optional" boost cut, as I did move the jumper from DR0 to DR1 and leave it that way always Then move the jumper from DHB to DFS during setup and testing. Move back when you have it all working and want to enable the failsafe. Edit: Failed reading comprehension, too early no coffee. I think it's the ecu tapping I did. Are you lowered? I know lowering caused something to rub against my speed sensor wire exposing the wires. When it rained, all my abs/brake/etc lights lit up on the dash. taped it up and zip tied it out of the way, been OK since. I know you said the sensor is fine, but just double check the wire coming off of it in the wheel well i suppse if you havent. I'm getting a bit worried, everyone seems to have "random" issues occuring coincidently after tapping their ECU. =\ RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - ThumperGP - 10-04-2011 09:04 AM (10-04-2011 08:59 AM)BostonR56S Wrote: I'm getting a bit worried, everyone seems to have "random" issues occuring coincidently after tapping their ECU. =\ I don't.... Only issue was when used the wrong color wire RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Buli - 10-04-2011 09:42 AM (10-04-2011 08:59 AM)BostonR56S Wrote:(10-04-2011 12:04 AM)etalj Wrote: My wheel speed sensor is throwing a fault now (even though the actual sensors are fine). Didn't your steering lock up? Or was that someone else, I didn't look back and ive been mixing everyone up at this point |
