Apr makes good stuff. Definitely not the alta of the vw world. They have a racecar, if Alta made a race car it wouldn't even finish a qualifying session.
APR is expensive. We sell GIAC, which is cheaper, and some people prefer the tune itself. We sell it because we use it on our GTi, and have done for a while. Haven't tested the same car with APR and GIAC back to back, but have tried both on different cars. Both good

Peak Eurosport, here in Denver swears by APR's tunes. Earnie is a stickler for his Audis, and VW's, and wouldn't have anything but the best on his personal cars... What tune does he run???

Yeah it looks like apr is the go as far as flexibility and performance.

I cant say anything good about GIAC, I was there yesterday and found the owner to be rude and condescending.
and from what i have been told by a few people they just let their tunes ride the knock sensor.

I know a tuner here in Denver that does just that... One of the reasons my car blew up...
And he is an asshole too!
GIAC has MINI tunes to, but how many are successfully running them?

See you guys have the benefit of meeting the owners, all we get are distributors
That being said, we did email GIAC once, and got no answer. Maybe the guy's a prick, not simply forgetful.
We have never seen any knock on the VAG-COM
