TVS Final Prototypes - Penis - 12-15-2013 12:01 AM Thanks for getting us back on topic Dan! (Wasn't my fault this time...) I really hope to see some good numbers out of this, and regardless I want more video! Sent from 2 cans and a string... RE: TVS Final Prototypes - ColinGreene - 12-15-2013 12:32 AM I was there when the car was being dynoed this last time, i can say the car runs well. Now with the higher boost a hint of blower whine has crept in. its sort of nice. It will be interesting to see what kind of results the meth will bring. RE: TVS Final Prototypes - bizzy - 12-15-2013 10:49 PM I have videos of most of the runs.. But since it didn't make 300, I decided not to upload them RE: TVS Final Prototypes - CFMINI - 12-15-2013 11:44 PM The TVS doesn't have to make 300 whp to be successful. The Rotrex will always put out more top end HP. Its the area under the curve that's the key. Craig RE: TVS Final Prototypes - ColinGreene - 12-16-2013 12:04 AM ^ i still want to drive your car. Im still a whore for a Rotrex. That happens when you drive one cross country. THIS TVS Final Prototypes - Penis - 12-16-2013 07:32 AM Indeed... That signature whine is the only reason I have not chosen to go Rotrex. Driving a S/C MINI just wouldn't be the same without it... Sent from 2 cans and a string... TVS Final Prototypes - mini_racer - 12-16-2013 07:40 AM On one hand, yep going with the Rotrex would not be the same..... It would be much much faster. :^) On the other hand, the whine is nice. RE: TVS Final Prototypes - CFMINI - 12-16-2013 08:26 AM Besides no S/C whine, another "problem" with the Rotrex is that you have to drive it like a sport bike - the best power and torque is from 5000 RPM and up to 8000. For a MINI that means you are always one gear lower than you would normally use. With an S/C MINI, it has that nearly flat torque curve from 3000-5000+ RPM so you can be in second, third, or fourth gear and get good pull coming out of corners. The Rotrex is better suited as a track car, or the Bonneville and Mojave Mile Events that I do. That's why I have (2) R-53's - one S/C and one Rotrex. And maybe an F-56 turbo next year.
