Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - HbSean - 11-07-2011 02:32 PM

Ok yeah I forgot the 2nd fuse in the add a circuit but I did remember to install the 15a one in the rear.. I did the start up test everything worked but I still have a yellow CEL I'm not sure what's its for as I don't have anything here that can read it

I called Jeff and left a message so I think I'm going to wait tell he gets back to me.

Edit; should I go ahead and test the flow and clean it out?

Woot! testing system now, last thing to do is find a place to put the PWM

Just dynoed my car (I hate dynoes, but in the process of diagnosing a fault).

Got a 5% gain virtually everywhere on a stock tune with a 50/50 w/m mix, and default 12 o'clock positions for both threshold and IDC-gain, not tuned at all for the meth.

Was very impressed, as dynos barely show any gains for w/m as there isn't that much heat when you only do one or two runs.

I have the failsafe connected which means I get a wastegate error CEL if I turn off the HFS-3. The next time I get the car on a dyno I'd like to get a baseline with the stock tune and no meth. Can anyone confirm whether leaving the system on but setting the threshold full cw will disable spraying meth at WOT? This could also be handy if I'm ever on a trip and run out of meth. (I'd avoid pushing the engine hard with the meth disabled)

You can defeat the system throwing the Failsafe when turned off with the jumpers on the board.

The kit with trunk tank is $898. Run at least 75% meth and between a .6 and .8 jet depending on HP level.

I just got back from a short drive everything worked, But I could feel the car slow a bit when it was a full spray I think I will downgrade the jet and see if that helps.

edit; running roughly 20/80 w/m

try dropping the IDC-gain down a notch

Or try the flow restrictor as well.
