RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - HbSean - 11-17-2011 04:32 PM Drums(53gal) are $407 here and 5gal pails are $28 for non VP and $41 for VP M1 I'm gonna try the non VP stuff.. As long as it's pure it should be fine. RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - ColinGreene - 11-17-2011 05:54 PM HbSean, pm me where your getting yours. Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - LASRGUY - 11-19-2011 10:18 PM I'm noticing occasionally, especially when the engine is cold, that under mild throttle the meth spray will come on at only a few psi of boost and initially spike to full flow on the gauge before falling back to a lower flow level. The spike seems to be followed by a slight bog in the power. Right now I have the 0.6mm jet installed and no restrictor. Threshold is about 1:00 and gain is about 12:00. Should I try a restrictor? Has anyone tried using the MAP control mode instead of IDC on their R56? RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - HbSean - 11-20-2011 12:24 AM I would It helped me RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - Buli - 11-20-2011 09:00 AM (11-19-2011 10:18 PM)LASRGUY Wrote: I'm noticing occasionally, especially when the engine is cold, that under mild throttle the meth spray will come on at only a few psi of boost and initially spike to full flow on the gauge before falling back to a lower flow level. I don't know why the IDC was high. I measured 300cc/min at 100% flow with the 0.7mm jet and no restrictor. Seems like the 0.5mm restrictor should be fine so that's what I installed. I did a flow test with the 0.5mm restrictor and various nozzles. 0.6mm nozzle flowed 250cc/min 0.7mm nozzle flowed 300cc/min 0.8mm nozzle flowed 350cc/min The 0.5 mm restrictor didn't cut the flow noticeably but on a brief drive it did seem to cut down on the initial surge I mentioned. It also kept the flow reading from maxing out the scale on the gauge. I'm pleased with the change. |
