What size injectors will be needed with the TVS/BVH/Grand Am Cam/Long tube header on STOCK ECU??? Will this combo be possible??

RE: TVS Final Prototypes - CFMINI - 01-03-2014 07:22 PM

I would think 550's would be used. Jan can scale those for use with the stock MINI ECU. I will have to ask Dan what size injectors he is using now.

1000s

Colin -
Yes he confirmed that. I am eating with Dan at Portillos in Buena Park and a bunch of other SCMM'ers.

Oh, see look at all the fun im missing.

RE: TVS Final Prototypes - 1qwkmini - 01-04-2014 07:18 AM

Can you do 1000's with the stock ECU?

RE: TVS Final Prototypes - CFMINI - 01-04-2014 07:59 AM

Good question. I have 1000cc injectors for the Rotrex, but I have the Vi-Pec ECU. Dan still has that also for the data logging it provides, but Jan wants to go back to the MINI ECU and reduce the boost after they dyno the present setup. It all depends when he gets back from Nebraska after his fathers passing.

Yes, I was very sad to hear about his father..I'll wait until he is back.

Looked up the 550 injectors and depending on BSFC (if the TVS runs a factor of 0.52 they support up to 80 hp/injector or 360hp at 80% duty cycle)--that should be enough for the TVS on the stop ecu.
