If my car get's damaged badly enough that the meth tank is broken and leaks everywhere, I really wouldn't matter if the car went on fire.

My justification for running 100%.

I think the purpose of the video was just to observe what the burn characteristics of different concentrations of methanol are. The subjective question of "which is safer" is left as an exercise for the viewer.

@ jcw2006aus That's hilarious...I had the sound turned off the first time I watched it, but I would have to agree! Big Grin

I guess that is a good way to justify 100%

Jeff-

When this used to only happen intermittently, now is happening everytime the meth activates...

After letting off from a hard accel where pump is activated and flow gauge shows flow... there is always one bar that remains lit... for about 5-6 seconds.

Is this just a sensitivity setting on the gauge, or is it actually still minimally spraying while I'm in vacuum/off throttle?
I have that 1bar check valve in there right before the nozzle that we tried a while back, so not sure if thats playing anything with it.

You are triggering on IDC correct?

Yes IDC. Installed exactly how the instructions said. I know there was discussion about different power sources to tap, but not sure if it's related.

No, but the BMW/MINI do some strange things with the injectors, basically running very rich on light throttle and over run to light of the CAT and do some emission stuff. I have attached two PDF's to explain.

The long and short is, trigger by MPS and this won't happen, but the blue wire needs to be connected to the MAP sensor .

RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB - BostonR56S - 08-22-2012 12:54 PM

Can you trigger by MPS via electronic reading by connecting the blue wire to the MAP sensor? Or is there something else that I need to change as well? I'll review the instructions, but I'm currently at work.

Is it an issue that its on overrun for 5 seconds when triggering via IDC?

The MAP input is just a 0-5V input and changing the jumper makes the thres reference the MAP input instead of the IDC.

The over run probably isn't the best thing to have going on long term.

Thanks for the quick responses Jeff. I hope I have a copy of the install instructions still, I should.
