Some coding with NCSExpert to declare the Manual Trans would be enough i think. Hes one the world Champinship Auto Cross 3 times. Has worked on MINIs for the last 10 years. He even converted a GP from manuel climate too auto, and then back again. He probable the best MINI mechanic in the North East. RE: Entire Cooper S drive line. - Penis - 08-21-2012 08:30 PM I went and looked at another totaled MINI today. Its a 99% complete car with a left front side impact. Car is an '02 S, with a few mods (including Brembo brakes). Engine and tranny, ECU, BCM, and everything. Only problem is... It looks like the car was under water, or sitting out in the rain and blowing dirt for a long time. Dried mud residue everywhere (including down the intake tube), and everything is so dead you cant even get the odometer to come up when you hook power to it. The guy wants $2K to break even... My thoughts are he can keep it. I wouldnt pay over $700 for a car in that condition. Its not my fault he over payed for junk at auction. It's there if you are interested though. RE: Entire Cooper S drive line. - ColinGreene - 08-22-2012 04:29 AM well look at it this way how much is just the block and crank worth if its not fucked also the trans. is the interior trashed theirs a hatch that could be sold. has it got a sunroof? im sure you could easy make money off of that if you were willing to part and scrap. the brakes alone you could get a grand for if they were not fucked. RE: Entire Cooper S drive line. - Penis - 08-22-2012 05:29 AM As rusted and dirty as everything is, I wouldnt even want to part it out. I'm going to keep looking for a decent one though with a good engine that I will use temporarly. |
