just put some grease on the drill and you will be fine, same for the tap. thats what i did. on the R56

I drilled the hole and taped it, but the jet adapter is too big for the hole, should I screw the tap all the way in instead of the last 1/4 of it ?



edit; there are two jet adapters, they look the same only difference is that one is shiny and the other is not...

I give lol, not sure why its not fitting but might be how cold it is today.. idk

Hum, what tap? Old tap as in not sharp?

The tap is 1/8" NPT 27 and its new, I just cant get the adapter to fit without forcing it

Go in two turns deeper each time. Just try to get the jet adapter to bite. After that it will screw all the way in. If the hole is too big, the jet adapter won't tighten up.

Yeah I talked to buli and I'm going to clean the pipe because the grease might be making it harder

I fought with it for quite a while when I installed mine. I found a socket that would fit the hex on the jet adapter and stuffed a couple of hex nuts into the socket so I could push hard on the jet adapter as I tried to get the threads to engage. That worked much better than just using my fingers.

Yeah I can't get it started with my hands, the tap goes in about 3/4 I don't want to go much more I'll try to use a socket if all else fails
