Has anyone actually made more than 400hp??

Thanks

I've made over 550hp on the stock box with a turbo

Jan -- do build any turbo kits anymore or has the focus shifted to Rotrex/TVS?

What's the reason?

I know there has been plenty of threads on turbo vs supercharged before....would be nice to hear it here without sifting through the BS.

Cheers,

Mark

If you intend to do that warm up the ring for removal and installation on to the diff you do not want to scar that mating surface! Wtf was he thinking

a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether... Not that we needed all that for the trip...

the problem with the turbo is it's midrange torque where it spools quickly and spins the tires. This turns to power on understeer and slower lap times. The rotrex is much more linear and easier to drive at high hp. It's been much more reliable on parts too. It really doesn't shock the drive train

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

lol they just dont get this over at the M/U...or PAI doesnt...Turbos will always make power but if you want to use the car to drag race go for it....if you want to use the car for road course maybe not the best idea....unless you use something to control that. Smile Jan I need to PM you about some ideas I have using the Vipec and a turbo...ill get on that in the next couple days.

RE: RMW 30-94 Rotrex kit (front mount)
Colin and I were at Jackson Racing today, talking about turbo's and Fwd . It's already proven in the Miata community the Rotrex is faster than the turbo cars even though they have 100hp less most of the time. It's about driving out of the corners and corner speed

What do you mean no need for one that big???

Bigger is awesome, as long as you can keep pressure drop down.
