RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
Jeff, I experience this sound on shutdown too, sometimes. But lately I haven't been hearing it. However, now hearing that its the pump activating for a split second, maybe this is why I had the pooling in the FMIC outlet. The checkvalve has stopped and bubbles forming in the hose upon sitting for a few hours, and the fmic is only oil now, so the checkvalve worked regardless.

Basically, the fuel injector power is on a second longer than the fuse power. It sounds like the pump is pulsing for a second, but the CV won't stop the fluid if the valve was pulsing at the same time. It would blow right past it. So it appears it's just the pump jogging and the valve is staying shut. "When everything works, it's a sheer joy to drive." - Jeremy Clarkson

This has been happening to me since the install but I always thought it was normal. Sorry for not mentioning it. FWIW, the "stumbling" has been happening a lot less. I did increase my meth concentration to 100% for a few tanks but then went back to ~75% recently. I think that when I was running 100% the stumbling went away, and only recently did I feel it happen again. I'm going to start keeping better logs of these changes and symptoms. That will be one of my resolutions. RMW tune | JCW exhaust | Helix FMIC | Howerton / Aquamist HFS-3 Life is hard. But life is really hard if you're stupid. |

The ECU stays active for 5 minutes after the ignition is switched off. (On R53's)

(On R53's) The changes we made to the HFS-3 when it was designed helped eliminate a similar issue on the 53's, now the 56 is doing something funny. It's odd how the fuse back plane would drop before the injectors/ECU on the 56, unless there's a capacitor somewhere holding it on. Yeah I wasn't trying to say the CV has stopped the pump from pulsating upon shutoff. I used to notice it constantly everytime i drove the car as long as the wm had activated, if it hadn't, then there'd be no noise. I thought it was just the pump emptying itself upon shutdown or something.
As for the loud noise, mine clicks a lot, but I can only hear it when the seat is down. So to the poster asking about the noise, do you leave your seat up or down? I get the same 1 second pump surge on shutdown. I don't put the keyfob into the dash. Don't know if that would matter.
