What is this Cruise Controll? Huh

The system takes over the throttle of the car to maintain a steady speed as set by the driver. It is built on the right side of the steering wheel.

So it's an electronic foot?

Na as Jan said I was just messing with you. Ive owned 4-5 cars with cruise and maby used it once or twice total, even driving cross country. Guess I would rather controll the car than have it do its own thing.Big Grin

After driving 408 miles in my EVO yesterday(EVO X's are the only ones with cruise control). I don't know how you prefer not to have cruise. Its so much easier to do the speed limit with it for one. Plus my foot gets tired of holding the petal.

I did pull 21MPG that surprised the shit out of me. I think I went into boost like 3 times though lol.

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
Shanne, I just never really liked it. I drove back and fourth to Ft Campbell (Northwestern Tennessee) and Denver 5 times while I was stationed there, in my '91 CRX. No problem keeping the speed limmits reasonable (I would bounce back and fourth between 65 and 80 depending on traffic). I have also driven back there twice since I left the 101st, once in my SAMURAI (33" swampers, 10" of lift, hard plastic seats with NO PADDING, and a built 1.3) just held it to the floor most of the 1000 mile each way trip (Think I got up to 60MPH around Goodland KS. The last time I was out there I was in my current MCS with no cruise, I just drove it like the Honda and was totaly fine plus more comfortable than either of the other two.Big Grin

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
Well - I pulled the 0-5v output from my AEM wideband into the engine bay. Now I just need the aux cable from Jan and I will put the ECU in.

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
You can use the stock wiring cable that is already into the ECU?
Locate the O2 hardness down the right side of the block. The sender is the yellow cable on my 05 MCS. You need to find power and ground for the wideban obviously (if it's heated like my LC-1 is) but that will be picked up by the VIPEC from that location. Saves you having to pin into extra aux ports

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
Wideband is heated and I grounded the gauge it connects with to the block already. I will try and locate the correct wire on the stock O2 harness, however I need to be able to swap back the ECU to pass smog - so what do you suggest ?

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
That's fine. Strip the wire maybe an inch up from the adapter and solder in therefore keeping the plug in tact. Then you can revert in time to the stock sensor.

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
If I understand you correctly - then I unplug the stock sensor until I need the stock ECU in there at which time I plug it back in and disconnect the signal from the WB.

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
Muchly appreciated.
I looked up the wiring diagram in the Bentley for my 2002.

According to the diagram - the Green (GE) wire goes to pin 9. B62001 is the pre-catalyst o2 sensor as per the Bentley.

So I should splice the Green wire?? What do you think??
