This is using WIDEBAND instead of factory o2 sensors

pin 85 of relay is the ground control for relay
take pin 85 to o2 engine harness connector pin 3

vipec settings are o2 sensor heater = injector 5 GP output
condition 1 only
SW condition 1 = ECT>
85C
Sw condition 2= ECT<
80c

So in this case: pump will start running at 85c and shut off after it drops below 80c
Big Grin

You can set these where you like this is just an example. Then setting the fan to help keep the water temps where you like

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Are you using the 02 sensor pin as the water pump controller? is that how i read that.
Sorry if that seems like a dumb question, i'm stuck in a hospital right now and i'm pretty tired.

by configuring the Vipec the way I posted will provide a ground in the Vipec for the water pump to come on when the water temp in the head gets past 85c and takes the ground away when it goes below the lower limit.

Since you are NOT using the heaters for the o2 sensors (not in car) you can configure it as a GP output to run the water pump. If you don't have Meth hooked to AUX1 on the auxiliary harness you could have just run it to that instead.

Either way the issue is fixedWink

yeah ok that makes sense. and....

its probably really good to point out that this is only to feed power to a relay to control the voltage into the pump, not power the pump directly because the circuit will not handle the load, you need to wire the power directly off of the main power in on the side of the airbox. and use this to control the relay for the pump.

this will also allow the pump to stay energized after you shut the car down if the water temp is above the temp set in the ecu or at least til the timer kicks off de-energizing the pump

RE: Here is how to wire Electric Water pump to Vipec
Hi Jan, thanks for posting this.

So I can wire that directly into the wires where I cut the O2 sensor off?

RE: Here is how to wire Electric Water pump to Vipec
I am trying to install the water pump with the relay but I am confused I need help.
I have the RL5 relay 40 amp. It has 85 (ground), 86, 87 and 30+battery.

I am going to wire the 85 , to O2 engine harness connector pin 3. What about the others 86, 87, 30+battery.

Do you have the two grounds in place? If so you only need to power the trigger.
