and you cant bounce a rotrex off the Honda style rev limiter you will in fact break it.
and who cares what Honda guys thing.
As long as you blow their doors off they wont care what RPM that you did it at anyway. its not like the strokers sound like they are revving really anyway.
I think the pass in blakes video was 8200, Didn't sound like it did it?
also like shanne said the higher you rev it the more you invite engine wear
and for the normal guy who's not used to this or gets excited you invite missed shifts and mechanical over rev so thats just bad.

Yep, I've built a K24 (honda motor) and doing many shifts over about 8k will wear it out rapidly. The long stroke pushes the piston speeds well up and beyond E46 M3 pistons speeds (which already about as far as you want to go). Even the S2000 2.2L wore out cylinder 4 in a couple seasons of racing shifting at 8600rpm. I was told I could spin it to 9500 or 10k if I had the cam in there to flow air up there, but only for a drag pass or two.

So what's the maximum recomended RPM with the stroker crank? (Either 1.7 or 1.8)Huh

Just curious... Might be going to a 1.7 for the little extra TQ... I need a crank anyhow.Tongue
