RE: TVS900 Basics
I'm sure most of this intercooler conversation is moot, considering this is a MORE efficient blower, and will likely put out a cooler charge and higher levels of boost. Stock or GP intercooler should be fine with proper tuning. That's what's so exciting about this, it's an M45 replacement, not a massive undertaking to get it to work together with a new radiator and piping and intercooler and intake bits. Really looking forward to see what happens here.

and before meth on an average day i'd see 158f IAT at WOT. and that caused huge timing retards. all hail meth!

No matter how much thought I put into it, either the headlight or the radiator get in the way. Both of theese obstructions need to be there... Cant do much about the light, but a thicker but narrower radiator, and some plastic trimming could solve that issue.

There is really no need to go with a massive I/C in a good location when a smallish I/C is good enough in an semi addiquate location. I'm just looking to open up the area under the hood to make room for stuff that cannot be relocated, and to try and gain a little in the way of recovery times and heat soak, with having a couple psi lost to pressure drop as a trade off.

W/M is great, but I dont (and never have) wanted to rely on it. Its staying in the car no matter what, and will probably stay at the mix I had the best cooling results with. I know there is more power to be had from it if I used even the system I had to its peak potential, BUT if I am a hundred miles from nowhere (like I tend to go) and the tank runs out, I dont want to baby it home, or have thoughts of poping my motor again.
When your car is back up and running, you will more than likely use a Vipec and you won't have to worry about running out of meth. As the Vipec has a fail safe and will automaticaly switch back to a pump gas tune if you run out or pump fails.

But that dosent leave any room for upgraded manifolds, which is my main purpose of wanting to go front mount.

Maybe we should move the last page or so to a dedicated I/C thread.

the water 2 air will come with an upgraded manifold/plenum...........

Water adds weight... 8 pounds per gallon, and if it heats up the recovery times are SLOOOOOOWWWWWWWW. Some of the roads I drive you are lucky to average 30 mph, that will get me a interwarmer.

LooserTec (Formerly BoosTec) wanted to make a laminova water to air system to go with the Shitex until I talked them out of it, for theese reasons.

RE: TVS900 Basics
lol..........the problem is he is an idiot, the amount of cores it needed was way more than he wanted to put in. Plus it just runs hotter so yes more water is needed in his system. It's not ideal but the real problem is having enough space and we already know the problem with that..........
