you are going to need a built engine first

to install the kit costs between $600-800 depending on which kit you buy
there are 4 kits now

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

RE: RMW 30-74 Rotrex Kit (top mount version)
Our head/cam combo will make more power and torque. It's been proven over and over. Ours is CNC'd so each one is exactly the same. Even the chambers. The technology in those parts were great in the early years but our header design with cam and head have had more track testing miles than our competitors put together. I probably sound like a broken record but we are the only Mini company to have won multiple national championships. All of them have used our competitors parts and NOW they are finally on the podium.

On our Rotrex kits most will run our popular 1000cc injectors
you cannot control these with the stock ecu, only with the vipec

You are going to need more than a head. To run the Rotrex kits you also need high compression pistons, stronger rods, crank, new bearings... In other words a full rebuild... With high quality parts that are proven not to fail, not Ebay special parts.

i understand now that i have found your company that you guys are pretty badass and i really like you guys. but i already have my head so i just wanted to know if it is going to be possible once i built the rest to run the rotrex or will i have to replace it all over again for everything to be compatible and jive together? and how do you feel about evotech ecu software jan?

RE: RMW 30-74 Rotrex Kit (top mount version)
You may want to start your own thread.... I wish i could tow the responses and stuff over...
anyway.
can you use the head?
In a sense yes. however i would not expect much out of it if anything. you could always mail your current head in, and have the RMW work valves and other things put it into it. providing they did not do anything to the casting thats severe. depends on what it looks like really.

And Evotech Ecu software? where did you hear about them? I have been in the mini community longer than most and haven't herd of them seems like a dubious proposition at best. A bunch of times that stuff turns out to be a flash that either leans it out or richens the car to no end (both bad) Then Throws timing at it and lets it ride the knock sensor(really bad) The goal with the RMW tune/software is that its fit to your car for the best results. I thinks if i remember correctly Jans tuned about 1000 of them. and some really not easy to deal with cars such as mine.... all on the stock ecu. However, Mine was sort of a special case..... anyway. for the best results create a overall practical plan and stick with it.
Stick with the RMW flash tool, or buy a vipec if you can budget it and your state laws/desire all jive.
