I've been unavailable for a few days due
to my family making the decision to put my mother (86) into a nursing home. She's had dementia and Alzheimers for a few yrs now but it has gotten too much for my father to take care of her while he is battling bladder cancer. It's been a tough decision but all things must come to an end and this is just one of them. It's tough seeing your parents go through this. Both have been relatively healthy all of their lives so I have been blessed with that. Last thing I want is for them to suffer, I hope to God he spares them that. While I selfishly want them to be here forever we all know that just isn't possible , I should be lucky to have had them this long.

Jan

PS I am going back through emails as fast as possible so bear with me.......

thanks

I'm sorry to hear this as well Jan.
I had a feeling you had important family stuff going on.
It's always tough seeing your parents whom you expect to be strong and with you forever grow old and become sick.

Tough times indeed but you made the right decision. Your mom will get the type of care she needs and family can visit as often as they like. Best wishes..

After seeing what my parents have gone through with all of my grand parents, sometimes this is for the better.

Best wishes to your family Jan.

Sorry to hear Jan. I went through the exact same thing a few years ago with my Mother and I can tell you the nursing home will give her the care she needs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
