Gauge LED and Faces

Just thought I would let everyone know that I can change your LED lights out on your gauges for a custom look to just about any color you may want.
Its obviously going to be assessed on a case by case basis but I did change my pointers to Red and move my red-line to a indicated 7800 rpm.
phone camera really has no interest in taking low light pictures, Thanks apple.




On top of that I am working with speed hut to get new gauge faces made,
If anyone has any thing they specifically want let me know (Gp Dials or special colors.)
I am looking to get the price significantly under what most other manufactures are (offering them for 150 dollars)

In other news I am doing some interior stuff such as shift boots and parking brake handle boots out of Alcantara.... As well as the steering wheel inserts.
Let me know if anyone has a interest in that.
Ill see what i can do about getting a shift boot picture up, It was dark last night.




Another thing I have is a S10 slave cyl kit complete Ive got a few out for beta testing, so far its received positive feedback.
Everyone knows that the stock mini Cyl often leaks and leaves you stranded and on top of that its expensive and a complete pain to bleed.

Kit includes

Slave Cyl and pushrod
Adapter Line
New factory hardline to plug in under the box.

Hey colin, what do you recon about getting a set done for us Australian folk? The only problem is that our speedo is where your tacho is and our tacho is wherw your speedo is. I'm guessing you would need a set of our guage faces to be able to do it?

Yours are also in Kilometers. The gauges themselves would be the same but they are just in different places thats all.

Not really. however you do have that tach in the center crap that makes no sense.

anyway heres some updated pictures of my red pointers and shows how crappy the helix gauges are.








I was thinking about changing my backlight to a diffrent color, the redline move is sort of poorly defined because of the gauge quality and the lack of divider.
orange vs red is not a great contrast. Would probably work better if i did the back light in purple.

What sort of LEDs are they? Are the SMD type? Do you need to de solder and re solder? Do you have any pics with the Gauge face off at all?

I have to heat them to remove and re solder to install.
they are PLCC2 surface mount.
Annoyingly tiny. You need a pair of tweezers to install them and a power source to check direction.
Honestly your better off mailing it to me rather than doing it your self.
