RE: RMW X-1 the solution to track day excitement!
Shit that's sweet. So, ever going to be a rear wing for the R53? Sneed has one, just sayin'...
Before the splitter, my car got uncomfortably light in front, especially coming over crests, at about 120 MPH +, in a kind of "I wonder if I have to turn the wheel if anything will happen" sort of way. Now the car is planted, but the rear feels a little light in fast sweepers--it's much more tolerable than the lightness up front at high speeds, but a little bit more in the rear at RA, like 2 degrees on a wing, enough to help the rear without adding too much lift to the front would probably be a good thing, and with the new engine I don't really care so much about the added drag. And 5 degrees at Blackhawk, that would be nice. A functional, adjustable rear wing for the R53 like the one you got there, that's would be the cats balls... The only good F56 is a dead F56

with the splitter, flat bottom and GP wing with a Gurney flap it was just the right amount of bite in the back. I don't think you know how giant my wing is.........lol..............MASSIVE

Well, build a smaller wing for the R53 then...Probably can't judge the size of your wing correctly without the shell on, with the dynamics of that car you probably need the mother of all wings. The Sneed wing looks a bit too large too for the R53.
Can't get the gurney flaps anymore thanks to M7 scewing Jsart over. He won't have anything to do with MINI's anymore.... The only good F56 is a dead F56

Let captain obvious attempt to clear this up: It's wickerbill/gurney flap on the rear wing we're talking about, not the canards on the front...But yes, it's the canards that M7 blatantly copied off of Jsart, and that's the reason Jsart won't make anything for the MINI--including the wickerbill--anymore. M7 is run by someone else since this all happened, but when we brought this up to him, it was conveniently ignored...Jsart is a good dude, lives in Michigan I believe, I begged, pleaded and cajoled but he's done. That sneed wing is massive. That kid with it on his camo MINI has got to be losing half his gas mileage running around town with that thing on and then I saw another one that tilts up when you brake like a Veyron, but it's so slow the car would have already stopped by the time it tilted up. Don't know if it will help you, but the R56 under panels will fit on the R53 with just a little bit of cutting. They are almost the same as the ones on the GP.

Are they cheaper? I saw the gp1 underpanels on ecs the other day for not a million dollars...

RE: RMW X-1 the solution to track day excitement!
Yeah, I'm going to add the GP panels (the R56 panels used to be substantially cheaper than the GP panels but I think the prices have gotten closer) unless Jan has an undertray, he had one I saw at one point that I think was quick fastening. It's one reason I eventually want to replace the JCW cans, they're like lifting wind brakes back there they hang down so much.
Jan's splitter protects the underneath of the front of the car nicely, but there's a little gap in there I want to get covered for protection and airflow, samething with the underpants going to the back. If the sneed wing is massive it's too much. I have the Orranje wing, maybe I'll get the stiffer wing that's adjustable, the size is right but it flexes bigtime, not sure if it's hurting more tan helping. The only good F56 is a dead F56
