PS Cooling Setup for Automatic S
My PS fan is in dire need of replacement. In addition to replacing it, I would like to install the snorkel/duct setup used on the Automatic S 1st-Gens. Does anyone have the cooling duct and underbody paneling used? Thanks.

RE: PS Cooling Setup for Automatic S
The PS cooling fan on my '06 MCS has been grinding with dust/dirt for years. It makes a bit of a squeak sound at times. I want to replace the fan but also do some preventive maintenance since the Germans put down tons of road salt/grime during the Winter months. I have one of the original skid plates from my old '02 MCS back in the states, but I don't want to have to remove it every time I do an oil change. Not to mention it could become a place for fluid drips to collect, and German car inspectors are extremely picky about zero oil leaks (which is why I made it a priority to replace the crank, oil filter housing, and oil exchanger seals a couple of months ago).

RE: PS Cooling Setup for Automatic S
Groundhog destroyed the duct on my car. I replaced with the non-ducted setup, and put a grille on the fan. Has been fine ever since. But I consider replacing those fans a PM item every few years...

RE: PS Cooling Setup for Automatic S
^^^^ That's the link that got me turned on to the idea. So far, I've found the cooling duct for ~$157. Just wanted to see if I could find one used since that price went way up compared to ~$35 when they were still available during OEM production. Shroud is still cheap. Replacement fan is still ~$60 too.

Thanks Colin for hooking me up with the PS fan duct. I will work on acquiring the remaining parts to get this project finished. Smile

Yes, the package arrived just fine. It hit Chicago on Wednesday the 16th. I was surprised it was here today. Usually takes a little longer to make the flight (based on package size, first-come first fit).
