I had the cold start stumbling intermittently about 2 years ago. Went away after the HPFP was replaced under warranty. I never got any codes before I took it in and complained. The HPFP is covered for 10 years because of all the issues they have had. I'm not sure if the replacement is upgraded or just the same as the original.

The only issue I have like this is a "balking" or hesitation if the car is not completely warmed up and I get on the gas. It's very infrequent. I am wondering if that's what it is? Honestly, I just try and wait until it's warmed up before romping on it and I don't have the problem.
Ah, another R56 issue

I don't even roll into boost until water AND oil is warmed up. This is merely starting in 1st gear after I start the car and leave for work in the morning. Hold the throttle a good 10-15% down to get up to 10mph through the parking lot and the car will jerk back and forth and hiccup. 20 seconds later I'll get to the stop light and start in 1st and all will be fine.
