Right. Fuel doesn't cut, dv just activates and boost dumps and holds 5psi. I always notice if I keep my foot wot after this it will accelerate slowly and it tends to smell bad. I assume excess fuel burning from the sudden change, smells like a car running rich.

But yes Chris you're right, like I said WM is NOT a solution for the boost cuts.

And to answer your question, a misfire SHOULD throw a code, but with this car who the hell knows if it decides to or not. When my piston blew....the car was OBVIOUSLY running on 3 cylinders and I drove about a mile or so home, and then continued to start it up for short periods when I was diagnosing it. It did not throw a misfire code until the 2nd day.....LOL
