And not to be a jerk but a side note, 20oz methanol and 5 oz water makes 80% mixture. I know its rough, but 18.75oz methanol then fill to 25 with water will yield 75% w:m. Prob nothing crazy difference, but if you're aiming at 75%, you'll end up saving more methanol in the long run =)

I need to find out who supplies methanol in the 5 gal drums in CT, and for 3.25/gal would be full of win. Whats distilled water going for now a days? used to be pretty cheap by the gallon...

I might be doing it wrong but I thought that for 75% methanol concentration you should shoot for around 80% methanol by volume? Plus, I was being lazy and wanted to use the existing marks on the cup. You're right though, it's not that hard to just figure out what the 18.75 oz mark is and get a sharpie. But do you know if it's 75% ABV or ABW?

Or maybe it doesn't even matter unless you're getting tuned for a specific concentration, as long as you're consistent with your measurement. I guess that makes sense.
