RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
These cars really do like more methanol. The most noticeable thing is that the power is so smooth now. Whereas before in higher gears, when accelerating under load I could feel the car's power decreasing, then the power would come back, then it'll decrease a bit. The yo-yo effect I'm sure a lot of R56 owners know well. With roughly 75/25 meth/water I don't feel any let up at all. It was so fun driving the car hard and seeing what it could take, it didn't disappoint me once.
Here's an example of what I'm seeing on my car. Ambient temps were in the upper 80's and when it sprayed the IATs would drop to the mid 70's. I'm going to stick with this setup for at least a tank and then probably try the 0.8 jet to see if there's any positive difference. Oh and Blake, you'll be happy to hear that I went through about 1/4 gallon of fluid driving to Jeff's shop and back. I predict I'll be refilling the tank again in a few days.
