RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
the manual states it is for IDC/flow matching. Basically you can use it to fine tune how much flow you are going to see at the jet. All it is a plug with a small hole in the middle that blocks/slows down some of the flow.
That is my take on what it does but maybe Jeff has a better explanation on when it is needed. (09-04-2011 03:23 PM)BostonR56S Wrote: What is the flow restrictor and it's purpose? Sorry it may have mentioned here before already I did a bit more testing of my settings compairing my boost gauge and the meth gauge. I found that with my current settings looks like when my boost goes from vacuum to boost, just as the boost gauge reads 0 the meth starts flowing. So once up to speed, just cruising around no flow but as soon as get to a boost state the flow is there. My threshold is at 10 o'clock and my gain is at 1 o'clock with the .7mm jet and no flow restrictor. Hope this info helps anyone set up there system. |
