RE: TVS900 Basics
Jan, that GRS front mount across the pond is junk! I wouldn't even consider it an option.

Even the guys at GRS admitted it was not worth the money. They couldn't keep the piping attached on any of the cars they tested it on, because of the way it is designed. Not to mention the pressure drop was retarded... Something like 6-7 psi!

Sent from 2 cans and a string.

I think many of those issues are fixed. Haven't had that problem on the car I have been tuning over there. Regardless it will be a good test

RE: TVS900 Basics
That was back in 2010, so maybe they did make some improvements.

Sent from 2 cans and a string.

Still would rather see a FMIC that gets rid of the horns.

RE: TVS900 Basics
Jan,
From a scan of the GRS web site, it appears that the "Mk2 Charge Intercooler" is a w2a intercooler that does not require removal of the A/C like the their FMIC solution.

RE: TVS900 Basics
That charge cooler is not capable of cooling a high performance car with this much hp

RE: TVS900 Basics
I believe on the R53 an FMIC likely means no AC condenser, and that is a difficult trade-off for those with intense Summer heat.
