RE: RMW Widebody Group Buy Pricing!
Jan--will it fit the GP bumper? The flying Wallenda has already asked about the splitter so I'm good to go on the wide body if it fits. Do you remember what the original price of the splitter was, as a reference for Paul? Don't want to gouge him and I don't remember the cost, it was awhile ago...

Yes, we are all full retard. Colin, I wish you'd get serious about the track sometime, then and only then would the sheer stupidity and money we're throwing at all of this even begin to make sense...We all have kind of the same attitude--yes, we could get a faster car much cheaper, but it wouldn't be a MINI. Incomprehensible (and understandably so) to many, makes perfect sense in the full retard world.

RE: RMW Widebody Group Buy Pricing!
not sure Chris, I doubt it will fit the GP, should fit JCW bumper. I will test it on yours when I get the kit here

you have it right about the track and why we do this. Probably would have been cheaper to buy a used cup car at this point for me......

I believe the splitter was $750

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Thanks!

Man I hope it fits, or can be modified to fit. I was afraid of that. Might have to change bumpers yet again...

Does it fit the stock MCS bumper? I might have that laying around somewhere, would just have to redo the brake duct inlets but that's not a big deal.

Jan

It's possible that it is too low, but it already has a good amount of rake F/R and with the 17's it already sits 1" higher off the ground (at splitter) than if I where to switch to 15's...more incentive to redo the brake kit(smaller diameter rotors) and go to 15's, but that is a winter project.

Just about to scale the car after changing spring rates (as suggested) maybe I'll raise the ride height 1/2"??? and try that!!!

I love how we all scavenge Chris' car before parts even come off.

RE: RMW Widebody Group Buy Pricing!
I just do not have a interest in going to the track, I have rode in cars on the track, been track support and been out there plenty.
I have even raced go karts, its neat but its just not for me.
Its just that I am not a good driver, I am not fast and i dont think that i have the skill set to even build from, or the attitude that would make me a good driver.
I think i enjoy the process of improvement better than actually driving the car.
And If I am honest, I have been re thinking how things are going for me and realizing i probably need to get my life together before i keep spending money on cars.
Somehow I need to figure out how to be responsible. that might even mean getting a job again.

RE: RMW Widebody Group Buy Pricing!
That's cool, but if you'd go all in on your business, I think you could make a go of it. You're dipping your toes in, but you gotta get up to your neck to make it pay. It's a big risk, and may not be what you want to do, but I think you're capable of it.

RE: RMW Widebody Group Buy Pricing!
I want to see pics once you get this on the car running 275/35/15's. Along with advice on offsets for 8", 9", and 10" wheel/tire combos..

Colin. If going all in on the business, you'll need do at least some generic type parts to get everyday type business. You have Jan to help push certain parts, VT engine mounts, camber plates, etc but not everybody will be interested in those. You have the BMW and Porsche knowledge as well. Figure out what you can offer thru M/A that the masses will want..

Putting your phone away & paying attention to those talking to you?
There's an App for that. It's called "RESPECT."

Do you mind sharing the wheels and tire specs for the car in the pictures as a reference? Thanks
