TVS900 Basics
Ok cool, that is an important milestone, good luck with the testing.
Oh and did a little research and the R900 has ~22% greater displacement than the M45, so at least on paper it should be able to get the 1.8L in the ~15psi range without a crazy small pulley. Then again Eaton sez the TVS line will accommodate a larger engine than the SC displacement would otherwise indicate so maybe something north of ~15psi is likely. Regardless, Jan will actually measure it and then we will know. :^) |

RE: TVS900 Basics
Brutal day at the track..........the real data...........no cherry picking...........
Track Data from today AFTER the car was heat soaked........Ambient 102deg F, track temps 130-140deg F! Stock GP intercooler Max Water temp 204deg F w/stock RADIATOR! IAT Start 144deg F! Max IAT 176degF, recovered back to 149degF in 10sec! No meth was used Cars were popping head gaskets and radiators all over the track. We ran cool and consistent water temps. Not 1 single knock event all day in this heat on 91 Octane! On days like this in the past with the stock supercharger I routinely saw 190deg F running the car this hard and it not recover back to starting temp. This is a slow speed track which is notoriously hard on cooling systems and brakes. Car ran flawlessly in the Mojave Desert at 2342ft altitude. Can't wait to test it on a 80deg F day! Just the facts! RE: TVS900 Basics
Congrats Dan and Jan, great to see.
After my day from hell (getting the car ready for the track Friday night only to find my bearings shot on the front left side, and issues with clearance, no go on Saturday, I had to talk myself out of a "fuck the MINI, buy and Exige" moment), good to hear, gives me hope for the future, glad someone had some success.
