RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
Hey guys, I'm sure I missed a post about this but I'm wondering what kind of preventative maintenance you Aquamist owners do to prolong the life of the system. Stuff like regular purging, checking / replacing the jet, checking for leaks, checking filter in the tank, etc. I actually haven't done any of this in the last 2+ years and I'm wondering if I'm testing my luck. TIA

I just purge the system that's all.

Thanks Dave. How long have you had your system again? So you just purge for a few seconds a couple times a year? That's great news, I love trouble-free systems.

Never touched it, all I do is periodically check the spray pattern. Very reliable.

Nice! Probably the most reliable thing on my R56. ;-)

RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
I have had mine for about 4 or 5 years now. I run about 3/4 of a tank of meth through the system and put it back in the tank when done.
I have a dedicated recovery tank (washer fluid bottle) with a threaded hole in the cap it so I see the spray pattern and capture the meth.

Nothing really, i run straight meth.
Just check the joints for leaks and the lines for becoming brittle.
and make sure the level sender on the tank is not leaking.

And don't overfill, or the vent tube can act like a siphon

Can anyone confirm the R56/R60 prefer a 20% mix of water meth compared to 100% meth? Installed a HFS-4 on my R60 a few weeks ago and have been running 100% meth with a .7 jet.

Either works fine, but I prefer 20% water.
