RE: WTB: Stock R56 Downpipe...
To gut, and keep my stock one incase I need it for emissions.
The stock piping diameter is not nearly as restirctive as the 400cell cat. and gutting it would more than free up that bottleneck. Plus, all the aftermarket catless are still like $400+ which is pretty ridiculous for a piece of pipe and flanges. The OBX is a good option, but since I still have my stock flex pipe and V-band connection anyways, I'd rather not be doing all the cutting and welding to get the OBX to fit with my magnaflow piping now. The RR is a good option, but blake likes to screw me over (JK, not his fault lol), and they haven't been seen on ebay in a long while. Lol...trust me....with my luck trying to remove it, the studs that attach it to the turbo would have definitely sheared off the day before I traded it in...was not going to deal with it! You can always get a Ragazzon catless DP...ordering them is kind of a pain, has to be done through an international wire transfer, but people have done it with no issue and seem to like them. ......or you can keep bugging Jan ....seeing as he does have the jig for the one RMW turboback they made eons ago.... 2006 MINI Cooper S JCW GP (R53)--GP #1599 -RMW FUNstick Cam, RMW Shorty Header, RMW 450cc inj 2014 MINI Cooper (F56)--Midnight Black |

RE: WTB: Stock R56 Downpipe...
Apologies to Erik for this slight detour but it's sort of on topic. When CA's new smog laws take effect and they forgo the sniffer test, if the CEL is tuned out when you install a catless DP does anyone know if that means it will pass the check? I don't think I have anything installed that would fail the visual test.
If so, you can have my stock DP for cheap if you don't mind waiting until Jan comes out with one that I'd like to buy. See, I brought it back on-topic. RMW tune | JCW exhaust | Helix FMIC | Howerton / Aquamist HFS-3 Life is hard. But life is really hard if you're stupid. |

I'd consider a catted downpipe if Jan made it. Group buy, group buy

RE: WTB: Stock R56 Downpipe...
The file would cancel the cel, and change parameters for the o2 sensor post cat afaik. It should retain readiness, which is what emissions scanners look for.
In MA, they use obdii for emissions, no more sniffer '08 R56S DS/B | RMW Dynotuned | Aquamist HFS-3 | Helix FMIC | Riss Racing Catless DP | Custom 2.5" Magnaflow | AEM Dryflow | Konig Feathers | Mach V Springs | Bilstein Struts | GT Spec SB | Eibach RSB | + Lots More | |
