We need to start a vipec support and feature thread so if one of us gets good things going we can share.

Personally I would like a "flames out tailpipe on lift off" switch for night effect. Screw pop and burble, I want FIE-AH. Cat and exhaust may not like that, but....I still feel a need. lol

Also a setup with starter disable unless some sequence of switches are pushed for city parking would be nice.

Valet mode would be good for some too, limit revs to 3k,

So many things. I don't know what is and what isn't possible yet, but hope to find out.

Jan, maybe make a Vipec forum so we can try and keep things neat. Sticky up top for FAQ we create, etc.

Lol, thats a valve killer, exhaust, turbo, everything killer. You can do it on any ECU, just retard the timing and add fuel where you shift, dont even need a standalone....

You should be more happy about constant tune, smoother idle with big cams, bigger maps, LC, NLTS, Boost control, 1:1 throttle, Soft revlimit and hard rev limit, on ECU logging ect ect.

How does NTLS work without gear engagement sensors?

Lol, it has BCS built in is what I meant. You would need a 3 port and a wastegate to use it lol. For the turbo guys, or the guys that want to go turbo.

NLTS looks like it works off load and TPS.

Buy what? I want flames. Honestly, I would probably use it ten times to show off to a couple friends and family, but most of them just do not get cars at all. I might as well stand on my head and take a crap. They would be that impressed. I get the sense that someone has be drinking a bit heavier than normal...just sort of a feeling there is alcohol involved somehow. I am somewhat of an expert in some circles though according to some, I am wrong now and then.

One of the reasons I got one is my car came with a GIAC tune, and that is the tune Jan started with. I always wondered if there was something changed that wasn't normal in my base map. When tuning, Jan had to try a few times to get my mixture correct. It was so rich at the high revs he figured it had higher fuel pressure with a non-stock pump, but in the list of things the guy did I bought it from (which was very detailed) the pump should be stock. That was one of my justifications, along with more consistancy, since the car very obviously has good moments and better moments. My car never got great mileage and I often wondered if the cold maps or something was not stock and messed with by GIAC. I really don't know, but this will put an end to my having to think about that.

Would an electronic actuator linked onto the bypass valve do the trick? All you need is a way to blead a little preasure off right?
