Its actually pretty straightforward.

You need to access the lower bolt and remove it. I removed the RF wheel and the entire liner. You may not need to do that but it makes the bolt easy to remove.

You also need to remove the upper motor mount, so a torque wrench is required to put those back on. A little prying of the upper mount may be need to get it back on. The VT fit perfectly on my 06, it makes the job easier.

FWIW, I did mine without removing the RF wheel or liner, but only because (a) I knew the bolt wasn't corroded/frozen and (b) I knew exactly where the bottom of the bolt was already from doing my TSW mount install and © I'm good at working with long extensions and stuff.

It's very doable, but for most folks it's probably easier to pull the wheel and liner.
