RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
Has anyone had any issues with tech inspection with the Meth kits? There is talk about requiring an SCCA tech checkout for some of the places I run, due to rising track insurance issues. 100% meth appears to be an issue with SCCA (although water is fine, and 50/50 mix MAY be fine). I haven't heard any issues with HPDE's, in fact it seems it's a nonissue from what I can tell, but there has been hints, rumors and allegations that 100% meth may be out. Looks like 50/50 will probably survive though.

I figure Jan's fuel cell setup is going to pass any tech, not 100% sure about the other tank though.

The only good F56 is a dead F56

mine is NOT an issue, braided lines and sealed fuel cell...........good to go
50/50 will NOT burn

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

How and what does the failsafe do/work? Trying to decide between the hfs-2 or hfs-3
If one opted for the hfs-2, what would be the cost to upgrade it to a hfs-3 later on?

Do you have a 53 or 56? For the 56 it will cut boost by interrupting the wastegate solenoid. For the 53 there aren't a lot of good options. We are testing a way to drop boost on the 53, the parts are here, we just haven't had time to get it on the car.

The cost to upgrade the 2 to the 3 is $250.

r53 with Jan's head... what would typically trip the failsafe, low fluid, clogged valve, etc?

The system is setup so that by adjusting the potentiometers on the gauge face, you set a safe "window" for the injection. WE can go into more detail on setting this later.
If the flow deviates, either above or below the the failsafe window, the failsafe will be tripped. Causes of the lower failsafe being tripped could be: partially clogged jet, plugged filter, blown pump fuse, etc. A cut line before the flow sensor would usually trip the low failsafe as the pressure would bleed off, a cut hose after the flowsensor will trip the upper failsafe.
In the absence of a hard action(boost cut, etc) the gauge does show the failsafe has been tripped, but you could also hookup a buzzer or light as well.

RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
Well we'd love to get in on it Jeff and as per email we'd need the 76.2mm jet holding ring for pre Rotrex

We won't need a tank as we will have to make it fit

All this is subject to me being given money from a long lost relative who has died !

I'll look forward to the email when you've closed the GB

Ok, we'll do. Typically we have to sell the tank with the kit in the GB, but we can make it work with the pre-compressor sprayer.
