Colingreene, I saw on a vendor website they suggest to put strut tower plates (or strut bar) also with this suspensions. What is your thought about that? (PS: I don't have strut bar or strut plates installed in my car)

RE: Bilstein Sport shocks and Swift Springs
Eh, thats just to make the car rotate more, do you want it to rotate really well? If so get camber plates and a rear bar.
but because you drive it on ice that may not be the best plan of action.
Id do the camber plates before i did the rear bar.
or just run a mild one for your car.

RE: Bilstein Sport shocks and Swift Springs
I think he means strut tower reinforcement plates like the Craven strut tower defenders. R50/2/3 strut tops love to mushroom. Get em.

RE: Bilstein Sport shocks and Swift Springs
You are right paulharno, I meant strut tower reinforcement plates. On the vendor website, they stated "we recommend strut tower plates or strut tower bar with this suspensions" (Turner Motorsport). I don't have any of those on my front strut tower by now. colingreene, I am agreed with you, camber isn't a good option since I drive my car in winter. I don't really want my car to rotate more, I just want to change the standard OEM suspensions (not even the OEM sport one) for something a little more sporty.

Anyway, I will put my car to my MINI mechanic in august (1st or 2nd week). Probably some engine work will be found: a new head or pistons or what-so-ever. Maybe send my engine to Jan for rebuild as he suggests me.

RE: Bilstein Sport shocks and Swift Springs
yes get the plates if you are not adding camber via a plate, because they do effectively the same thing, one just adds camber.
just keep in mind camber means more front grip in anything but ice.
idk how many miles are on your motor or if you just want to rebuild it.
