Yeah, you're right. Info on the TVS900 is really where the fun is.

So Jan back on topic, I take it that the first TVS kit is going to be set up for a top mount I/C as a stock replacement type kit?

Didnt the prototype for the 1320 kit have a front mount? Point being, can the piping setup for the front mount be carried over to the 900 series blower?

I was dicking around with my front end today, and thoughts of an 18X6 dual pass vertical flow I/C kept poping into my head. The piping could be relatively easy with both the inlet and outlet on the top of the I/C. It just comes down to the outlet of the charger and working around the dipstick.

I know the extra piping and mass of the front mount will cause a little pressure drop, but if the blower can push 20psi easily, I for one could live with the 16-18psi you would see with the FMIC. And with it being a dual pass, and out of the engine bay, inlet temps shuld be lower than ever thought possible from a semi traditional design od blower. Plus the tract of the piping wouldnt be a big spiral right above the heat of the engine.

the 1320 TVS was a W2A IC and we will make one for the TVS900

Yeah if you want to kill the turbo quick fast and in a hurry, but you also need a retarded spark to do that. Not just dump fuel......Like I said that is a VERY fast way to kill a turbo.

Dual pass intercoolers are not that good of a idea, also you dont really want the outlet and inlet on the same spot of the intercooler. You always want to keep the air flowing in one direction. VF intercoolers are already not that efficient...most are not designed right, as long as they are designed right they will do well but they have to be designed right, now add the fact that you are make it dual pass, your really going to heat it up. If you want a front mount keep it going horizontal. The area is big enough to cool down a charge and will be much better then a VF on the MINI.
