RE: TVS900 Basics
I can tell you for a fact it will NOT be less than 3k for the entire kit..........so if you are holding out hope that it will be $1800 you can forget it........lol

RE: TVS900 Basics
Scangauge can show IATs - air temp measured by the TMAP sensor in the intake manifold. Not scientific unless you're logging it with lots of other variables, but you develop an understanding of what to expect at various load levels and speeds over time, and adjust for heat soak when car has been parked after running, etc. In general, my IAT runs approx 15F over ambient temps when cruising. And with the meth on stays pretty consistent (or may drop) when I'm hammering it. Unless your SC is really, really screwed up, this isn't going to change much due to SC wear. Mine didn't when my SC was grinding metal.

If you're getting the noise that you think is the SC, I'd pull it NOW and check the oil levels. If you have no oil in the WP end, I'd open it up and inspect. If the gears are still OK, I'd put it back together, add appropriate oil qty and keep it watched. If the oil is gone, then the seals are gone, and the new oil will not stay there for long. If it's slowly losing oil you could potentially increase the longevity of the existing SC by installing the Recharger and keeping constant tabs on the oil level.

Once the gears finally go for good, your WP stops turning and the car will overheat immediately. And, if you're not careful, catastrophically.

TVS900 Basics
I was looking around $5K for what I want, a basic kit sounds about right at $3000-$3500.

RE: TVS900 Basics
My supercharger started showing signs of problems by continually producing higher temp air, then it started loosing boost.
however My gears are silent and work fine.
