Oh, I dunno. The sewing site used to be entertaining. Kinda like a day with Jerry's Kids.

RE: TVS900 Basics
Go to the end:
http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/for...hread.html It's kind of funny in a way, considering this is an issue you're fixing BEFORE the TVS comes out. From Dick's comment, it looks like this isn't uncommon for the Sprintex. Nowhere have I seen anyone suggest a fix for it; but that's right, it doesn't need it, it's perfect right out of the box....It's even better if you put a smaller pulley, (available of course from Sprintex vendors) on it to void the warranty. TVS900 Basics
Yep its not uncommon at all... I told Jan that on the phone, that tensioner shock is not in any way capable of holding tension on something that sees that much stress. And if it doesn't start puking from the abuse, the pice of shit splits in two when you need to change the belt! The internals of the shock have one tiny little snap ring that holds the two halves together... Compress, or decompress the shock too fast, and whoops you need a new $80 shock!
What kind of stress does a sudden onset of throttle, or a quick downshift in a spirited manner put on the tensioner? From my iPhone using Tapatalk Easily agitated, Half way retarded, and mentally unstable... Cant put up with it? SUCK MY RICHARD!! |
