Wow!.. Those guys are crazy to leave salt on the car to rot out an original Tucker.. Are they fuckin' nuts.?

I think they are pretty up there on the ugly scale however, with only 51 ever made before the company tanked... They are cool.
Not sure I would rat rod one out, and stick it on the flats, then leave the salt on it, but I would let one into my garage. Smile

Always the Texas Mile

We have the Mojave Mile 2.5 hours from home which is a lot closer than Texas.... they are also running a 1.5 mile course at the same time for those who want more room.
Mojave is a sweet course. It's a paved 12,000 ft. runway so there's a lot of room to go and stop.
We just keep getting the event interrupted by Drones and prototype aircraft taking off and landing. We also get interrupted when Hyabusa's with turbos and nitrous crash at 250 +...... Fun though.!

OUCH did he live, usually as long as you don't hit anything you will live. I bet his leathers burned through in about 1 second though, that is if they didn't come apart when he hit the ground at that speed.

The dude's name is John Noonan and yes, he lived but you're right..... he smoked through his leathers and gained some new purple scars on his body.
The year before he went 251 MPH on that bike without any body fairing at all. On this occasion, he added full fairing.(the bike looked like a turd) and during the run something blew and knocked a piece of the fairing off at about the 3/4 mile mark . ...when it went the bike tweeked sideways and fell. He slid about 1/8 of a mile and walked away (although he was hurt ) looking like a drunk.... it stopped the event for 30 minutes while they waited for the ambulance to return.
