RE: TVS900 Basics
Yea Chris, It has a Vipec in it now so that Jan can log data. Plus, we'll have to change pulleys and get the boost down to 18 or so for the stock ECU to be able to handle it....... new temporary set-back this morning. Tensioner pulley froze and blew belt.
We're working on a fix.....

RE: TVS900 Basics
Jan,
big congrats for this success. 22psi is the goal and also my dream in my r53. Cant wait to see the pricing.

One more question, what is the pulley diameter to reach such a boost? And how are the IAT-s at such a boost level with the JCW GP Intercooler compared to an eaton m45 with a smaller pulley?

Will it be necessary to go for 8pk and loosing the aircon or will there also be an option running it with aircon and 6pk?

holding thumps up that you solve the problem with the tensioner soon. I really cant wait to see the results on the dyno, some movies on the run and getting an offer for this great looking kit. Smile

LET ME BE 100% CLEAR.............THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TENSIONER........ it's fixed.............. The problem is the fabricator forgot to put the bushing on it causing it to seize the pulley. ALL Kits will come with an 8 rib belt......Who's the idiot that told you the a/c won't work? Kav? roflmao Just because others are too damn dumb to figure it out doesn't mean I haven't already.

22psi isn't recommended with the stock intercooler. You will need to run w2a, meth or fmic. This was a 55mm pulley, BVH, Grand Am cam and header. Expect close to 24psi with stock head.

RE: TVS900 Basics
Sweetness! I figured it was something simple.

How close to maximum is the blower speed with a 55mm? And how much noise is it making spinning those 4 lobe rotors that fast? Any chance of new video?

So Jan, on a stock bottom end w/ BVH, TVS, street cam and header, is 300 whp realistic?

RE: TVS900 Basics
300hp on stock ECU is what they're shooting for (or at least Dan is), maybe a bit higher, if you go vipec, you can go higher.

Question is going to be the best cooling option on stock ECU. Or, hypothetically, will the best cooling option for the Vipec work with the stock ECU, if we go TVS first and Vipec later.

What the heck, haven't you been running AC with a 8 pin for about two years?

RE: TVS900 Basics
Jan,

I did not mean it bad asking. I did not know that you can run aircon with an 8 rib belt... thats really great news. I am running Vipec, Water meth, GP IC... a BVH and the TVS and it should be the rocket i am dreaming about. Smile
