Raceseng Accessories: Helix introductory offer SOON.

Just a heads up for anyone who might be looking to get their hands on some American made shift knobs or tow-hooks (with integrated GoPro mounts) for their first or second gen MINI.

I facilitated the intro between the owner of http://www.raceseng.com and Eric @ Helix earlier this year before MOTD. I got some measurements to Jarrett Seng to help in their design of the adapters needed for the R53 shifter stalk.

Talking to Eric on Thursday, he mentioned that he is getting ready to get the word out on the other boards early next week, about an introductory offer on these products to the MINI market.

He had some of the shift knobs on display last year at the dragon. Unfortunately, given the timing of everything, Jarrett was unable to get the adapters manufactured in time.

Figured I'd give you goons the heads-up to check out raceseng.com and look over their selection.

Is that shifter stalk for sale? That's pretty sweet.

Do you know if the tow hook is functional or decorative? It's looks both, but some toe hooks explicitly state they're for looks only (possibly the dumbest accessory ever, but there are a ton of them out there) and if you've ever seen someone use one of those to pull out of pea gravel or sand it's obvious why....

I'll have to check them out, there stuff looks good.

I don't know 100% what the rating is on tow hook... I do know they are very sturdy. I'd have no issue using it as a tie down point on a trailer. They aluminum tug ring is held in place via a steel dowel pin. It also has a ball-lock integrated into that swivel axis that lightly locks it in place. So, it will hold itself at 90, 180, and 270 degrees from the center-line of the mounting shaft.

If you don't want the blingy-ness of a the non-functional tow hook. They do offer a GoPro only option that is very stealthy.

I need both--that's why I'm hoping it's rated for towing, that one looks like it should. Haven't had an agricultural excursion in three years, and have no desire to ever do it again, I'll leave that to Paul and his magical GIF, but you never know when it's going to happen....

BTW - which stalk are you talking about? The two picks are just a small sampling of the knobs offered.

I am sure Eric would not sell stupid non functional bling tow hooks. Check out the link below, it says it meets track specs.

I'd pay for that one before I would for one of those wooden things that I was looking at years ago from that Cassidy joint.
