RE: RMW X-1 the solution to track day excitement!
i think where the TVS first makes sense is if you're about to have to replace your M45 with *something*, then why not do the TVS now?
If all is good and the entire build is voluntary, then yes, motor first, blower second. 06 MCS JCW PH/PH RMW BVH, Grand Am cam, ARP studs, 550cc, Sump baffle, Shorty. 16% Pulley, ATI Crank, VT mounts, Valeo clutch, FSDs, HSport Comp rear bar, Powerflex bushings, IE fixed, Konig Feathers, Michelin PSS (17s), Alcantara JCW stuff, gray dials, other stuff... |

I agree, although cost will come into play. The other thing to keep in mind, if it's time to replace the stock SC, depending on the situation, it's probably time to consider the engine as a whole. And Jan's rebuilt engines can handle are significantly stronger than stock. Then again everyone has different wants/needs/budgets; I'm just coming from what made he most sense to me personally. It makes sense to replace a blown stock SC with a TVS, and keep the boost reasonable, especially if it's a street only car, there still will be gains. I look at it differently though, I'd rather have a 1.8 stroker on a stock blower than a stock engine with a TVS, that's just my personal preference, in that situation. Best of both worlds is to do both.... Still won't be faster than an X-1 though. The only good F56 is a dead F56

My stock blower should be coming off soon. Scooter has first dibs if he wants it though.

Besides keeping my job, there is nothing I wish success for more than the X-1.
