I would like the turn on to be softer. It comes on so quick and I can see a blip on my HP.

1. If the R56 runs on Lambda then I am just replacing one fuel with another.
2. WOT IDC will drop if I add fuel not supplied by them. It has to drop to maintain Lambda. This is why I turned the gain up to get back to full Meth FAV duty cycle.
3. I assume that the supplied jets were based on the math on the Aquamist web site.
4. 100% Meth requires the largest jet, 50/50 smaller jet. From the web site.

Why are you sure I am running too much meth?

Jan said 100% Meth for power. So 100% Meth. Now we need to know what is the sweet spot. Jan helpBig Grin

Didn't know you are running 100%...

And I see your theory, but it has yet to be seen how much the car can compensate to achieve its target lambda. I have only datalogged 75/25, on a .6mm jet. If you have any way to log AFR's I'd be very interested to see what they are with your set-up. You also don't know how much timing it can adjust by itself.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again....you will not see me run 100%. My whole reason for getting meth injection was to help keep cylinder temps in check. I am trying to avoid another busted piston. Meth does wonders to increase octane and dramatically cool inlet temps, but because it vaporizes so quickly at a relatively low temp, not much of it is left to cool the combustion chamber by the time it reaches it. Granted, when it does ignite, it burns cooler than gasoline...but water is the key player here in getting cylinder temps down. In the words of another Thumper: Just me............... Big Grin (forgive the quote haha)

The only way to know if its "too much meth" is to a) look at your AFR's b) get it on a dyno and see if its loosing power or c) you might be able to feel it bog down.

You can do this a few different ways.

1) Put the restrictor in to help cut the mid-range IDC.

2) Bring the system on earlier, turning the THRES down to bring less spray on sooner.

This is part of the tuning process for each car and setup. The balance of jetting, restrictor, GAIN and THRES as well as pump pressure can change the dynamic of the system.

If you really like all the spray up top, you could even go to the .9mm jet, with the largest restrictor to cut the low end down some, and turn the GAIN down a bit.

Tomorrow after work I plan on installing the restrictor. I will start the THRES earlier too.

I have a great data logger, I can log whatever anyone wants. I have an HFS3 coming with .7, .8, and .9mm jets, and can run whatever concentration of meth and jet size people would like me to on my JCW

I planned on running 50/50. So much theory and it sounds so good. Then I kept thinking about what Jan said about 100%. So I read more and the peeps with the data aka the tuners were in the 100% Meth camp. I read more and more while waiting for my kit and decided 100% was the way to go.
Both water and Meth will lower combustion temps and Meth adds power with out upping the compression ratio.

I just started the system today so there is lots of time for testing and logging. Smile

Nice! What data logger are you using, if you don't mind my asking?

I think it's great you have a JCW, but I wish you had an MCS. Big Grin

Haha they're relatively similar, especially if you have a tuned MCS.

Of course I don't mind you asking. It's an Auterra DashDyno. Fantastic bit of kit.

Installed the restrictor today. It took away the slight power dip right at inject turn on. Smile

In case anyone missed it in my thread, I opted for the HFS-2 for a "stealth" install.
