RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
I might have missed this somewhere - how do we connect to the ECU's? Do they come with some type of com cable? I am assuming one that connects through the factory diag port?
I swear some people on this forum are too dumb to own a MINI. |

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
I remember opening a computer in a chrysler and it was covered in silicon sealant (that is what it looked like). The only thing I question in heat dissipation, but that was the water proof treatment they got from the factory. I think on the vipec forum someone was asking about a board update, and vipec responded that since he had a marine one, it was covered in sealant. So, you may have a way to waterproof it.
9 out of the 10 voices in my head are telling me to "Floor it!"

I've seen a couple ECU's like that. The other reason they do it is also to keep people from changing the boards to be flashable by putting a epprom on them. |
