Finally good news on N18 and F56 cars
But they are just so ugly!
I really wish they woulda started putting the 2.0 in the R60. Heres my take on what is possible with Jan doing OBD N-18 tuning... Power! The stock map sensors are good to 21psi of boost, the stock internals are questionable with even that pressure, but raising boost is going to net the biggest power gains. The dual VANOS system on the N-18's might also be able to squeeze a couple more ponies out if the engagement points can be changed with a tune. Hopefully there will be enough adjustment in the throttle (pedal) mapping to get things normal. And we can expect Jan to smooth things out quite a bit better than the stock maps. Add this ability to some of the new hardware he has made available over the last year... Heads, cam's, possibilities of bigger (reasonably sized) turbos, and the all important non glass pistons, and the N-18 could finally see over 300HP to the ground on an honest dyno. It's about time! I'm a DICK! Dont like it? Skip this post! Easily agitated, Half way retarded, and mentally unstable... Cant put up with it? SUCK MY RICHARD!! |
